Your messages are stored in an encrypted SQLite database on your local device. In Vanish Mode, expired messages are systematically deleted from disk and memory. You can wipe your entire account and local vault at any time inside app settings.

Because VETO utilizes zero-knowledge end-to-end encryption, you are solely responsible for maintaining your device security and backup passphrases. Veto Technologies LLC cannot recover lost passphrases or unseal encrypted messages.
